Who We Are
About Joseph Laudie Dental
Dr. Laudie is a Kansas native and went to dental school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He went on to receive advanced training, including implant and IV sedation, while at the Ohio State University School of Dentistry, graduating as one of the top residents. Dr. Laudie enjoys dentistry and helping his patients have a comfortable and enjoyable dental visit.
Dr. Laudie is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He loves life-long learning and pursues continuing education to bring the latest that dentistry has to offer to his practice, team and patients. Dr. Laudie is pleased to be a certified provider of Invisalign orthodontics– the clear choice to braces.
Dr. Laudie is very involved in community service and outreach to bring dentistry to those who are less fortunate. He attends the Kansas Mission of Mercy Dental event every year, provides services locally, and goes to Honduras every two years to provide dentistry to those in need.
When Dr. Laudie is not helping people improve their oral health, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. His wife, Tara, holds a bachelor’s degree in piano performance and plays the violin in the local Emporia Symphony. His children, Kaitlynn, Jonathan, Adalynn, and Breelynn are his pride and joys. Dr. Laudie also enjoys gardening, camping, biking, hiking, fishing and beekeeping. He is a member of the Emporia ham radio club and is also fluent in Spanish, having lived in Guatemala for 2 years.

Our Staff
Lyn
Lyn has been in dentistry for over 22 years in Emporia. Lyn is active in the Emporia community by serving on two boards, Flint Hills Community Health Center and Emporia Rescue Mission. She wants to help patients understand their insurance plans and feel comfortable about their dental decisions. She was raised in the Emporia area and raised her four kids in Madison. Lyn is a gravel grinding endurance athlete. If she ins’t at Dr. Laudie’s office she is outdoors training, camping, kayaking, cycling, running, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
Marisol
Marisol has been in dentistry since 2011 in different capacities. She enjoys helping patients. She was born and raised in Emporia. She and her husband are raising three kids that keep them busy. As a family they love to camp, take trips, and watch football and baseball.
Stacey
Stacy is a dedicated mother of four grown children and two furry companions - Dudley and Hadlee. Stacy has been working in the dentistry field for over ten years, and has a passion for helping others achieve healthy and confident smiles. When she's not busy at work, she enjoys staying active and exploring the outdoors. You can often find her hitting the gym for a workout, riding her bike through scenic trails, or kayaking on a nearby lake. She also loves spending quality time with her family and pets.
Alissa
Alissa graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene from Fort Scott Community College in 2008. She and her husband, DJ live in Garnett with their 2 kids, Payton and Oliver. In her free time, Alissa enjoys spending time with family and watching the Royals and the Chiefs.
Carrie
Carrie is a dedicated Dental Hygienist who graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene from Flint Hills Technical College in 2018. She is a proud mother of two wonderful boys- Quinton and Beckham, who are her biggest motivation in life. She is passionate about her work and is committed to providing the best care possible to her patients. When she's not working, she loves to spend quality time with her family, travel and cheer on the Chiefs!
Karen
Karen has been a dental assistant since 1996. She enjoys all the different procedures we are able to offer to our patients and seeing the advancements that have been made in the field of dentistry. She has 3 children and a grandson. She enjoys going to auctions with her husband, camping with her son, shopping with her daughters, and just hanging out with her family
Jenny
Jenny has been a dental assistant since 2008. She graduated from Flint Hills Technical College with a certificate in Dental Assisting. Jenny enjoys being a dental assistant so she can help patients get the best dental care they deserve. Jenny also makes it her goal to help patients overcome their fear of dentistry because she used to have dental anxiety. Jenny lives in Neosho Rapids, KS with her husband Tanner and her two kids Rhett and Cora. Jenny enjoys reading, scrap booking and spending time with her family.
Tara
Tara has been a dental assistant for 15 years. She is happy and excited to join Dr. Laudie’s staff to expand her learning and growth as a dental assistant. Tara is a mother of three amazing kids. Tara enjoys spending time with family and friends. Tara loves to cook, watch movies, shop, go to zoos and aquariums, and travel.
Vanessa
Vanesa is a dedicated dental assistant with five years of experience in the field. Alongside her career, she is a loving mother to two children, Julianna and Lio. Vanesa actively supports her kids’ passions, including softball, baseball, soccer, and basketball. When she’s not busy with kids sports, she enjoys going on family outings and exploring new places.
